Cowance Heaven Sent

Cowance Heaven Sent boasts a pedigree of internationally successful sports horses and ponies. In 2024 he started his ridden and showing career.

Spike’s sire is the successful dressage and show pony Bernwode Benedict. Bernwode Benedict was the first UK bred and SPSS passported stallion to successfully grade in the UK.  During his time at Hartbury College and Stud Benedict competed successfully in dressage gaining scores of 70% +. Benedict went on to have a very successful showing career winning numerous national championships..

Benedict’s dam, Bernwode Evelina is a prolific producer of top sports ponies.  In 2009 she was the BEF’s leading sports pony dam.  Benedict’s grand sire is the SPSS Elite graded stallion Benwode Brokat.  Brokat’s successes include; FEI Pony European Dressage team selection, 2012 BEF Pony Performance Breeding Award, SPSS Dancer Medal, Futurity Leading Sire of Sports Ponies Over all Years. He was also sire of the 2010 stallion Grading Champion and sire of the 2009 SPSS mare grading champion.  Brokat’s progeny includes numerous futurity elite graded ponies.

Spike’s dam Levant Humility (pba) is by the successful event stallion My Eclipse who competed to BE intermediate level. His dam sire is  the influential event stallion Shaab.  Shaab  currently ranks number 12 in British Eventing’s top 50 list of eventing sires of all time.  Shaab is also the sire of the successful eventing stallion Upton’s Deli Circus.  Levant Humilitiy’s dam was the successful  PBA show pony who won numerous national championships.

We are eagerly awaiting his first crop of foals in 2025.  Spike will add bone and substance to lighter SHP mares and is ideal for event horse breeders wanting to breed a smaller horse to a larger mare whilst not compromising quality and blood.
